In less than 72 hours, Trinity Jones will be stepping into the ring with a man who calls himself The Dragon. Now Trinity never was one to judge a man by his name but when this same man questions her about her wrestling style. That struck a major nerve.
"Normally, I would give a speech about my personal life and how great it will be to step into the ring once again on Massacre. The Alpha Cup is shaping up to be a real barn burner for sure but one man had to go and say something completely stupid. Now, I have nothing against the man on a personal level but on a professional level. The Dragon as he likes to call himself had the nerve to ask me if I knew what a brawler was like if I was some idiot off the streets. A brawler isn't just someone willing to sacrifice his or her self for the sake of winning. A brawler is someone who will go that extra mile to ensure everything goes according to plan. If you think I'm afraid to bleed in this ring then that mask you wear is cutting oxygen flow to your brain. I have been in the business longer than you. I have sacrificed everything to continue living this dream. What have you truly done huh?
You ou talk about your days as a street fighter like that means anything. That is an amazing story but you can't go around calling yourself a legend when you haven't earned it yet. In case you haven't noticed, this is professional wrestling. Which means it takes more than a hard striking ability to achieve anything,"
Trinity takes a moment to catch her breath as the picture suddenly zooms out to show Trinity sitting on a metal folding chair just outside the arena Massacre is to be held at this Sunday.
"You spoke about my record. I am well aware that I am 0-2 but that won't effect me this Sunday. Unlike you, I don't dwell on the past since I can't do anything to change it. I also don't look toward the future since I have no clue on what it holds. What I do concern myself with is the present. That means I am concerned about this contest. Not because I might lose because that is a very strong possibility. There is also the possibilit of me moving passed you Hanzo. You said my road stops short but will it. That is the question you should ask yourself. Will my road on this Alpha Cup end this Sunday? Only time has the answer. I just hope when the dust settles you will be able to handle the outcome. I am prepared for anything. That is the difference between you and I. You are focused on winning which is great but you should focus on the journey. Wins will come but forcing them will only lead to further disappointment. Trust me, I have dealt with the sting of losses in my career. Losses suck but it's what you do following that loss is what determines how ready you are for that taste of Victory.
Have i tasted victory? Not yet, but I will never give up hope. I will continue to push forward. I will continue to prove to myself and the adoring public that I still belong in that ring. Wins may show success but losses define us. The way I see it is, no one truly remembers a win but a loss is remembered for a lifetime. That's when you remember this key phrase. Mind over matter. See you on Sunday,"
Trinity gives one final smile before getting from her seat and walking off.
