The moment he woke up, he felt an instant feeling of sadness punch him square in the gut. It was his final hours in Ichihara before returning back to the States for Massacre, which he was happy about, but at the same time it was disheartening to have to leave Erika. Nonetheless he rolled himself out of the bed, clad in only a plain black tee and sweatpants and made leeway for the bathroom. Upon entering, the first thing that caught his attention was his reflection in the mirror as it stared daggers back at him. Under that mask, sat the reminder that sent in the direction he was currently walking in, the direction of professional wrestling. It was something he wanted to excel in following the incident, and it was something he certainly wanted to conquer once he got the experience. Approaching the mirror, he slightly undid his mask, lifting it up enough to expose the jagged scar that laid across his nose. It was something he wished had seen a different outcome, but alas, it did not. Drawing the mask back down and tightening it, he exited the bathroom, pacing his way down the hall towards the living room. The space was relatively quiet and instinctively he turned the television on to the news channel were the hosts were discussing the past celebration of New Year's and how the upcoming year will hopefully be a fortuitous one for all. In his thoughts, he hoped that would apply to Zayasu and Kat judging from the crisis they were in, meanwhile he was in a struggle of his own. A struggle to make a name for himself. Only managing two wins in AWE seemed so minuscule to others in the company, but he was lucky to even have those wins under his belt in the first place. He still doubted himself despite the fact he had made it to the third round of the Alpha Cup. The finals seemed so close, but at the same time the sight of it was slipping more and more as the show drew closer. His conquest would either continue, or come to a screeching halt that would end up making him question himself: question if he had the skill, if he had the determination to carve his name out in the wrestling business.
Sensing his own boredom, he simply walked out of the room and back down the hallway. Towards the end of the hall, his caught the site of a door slightly ajar. Approaching it, he gently pushed the door open a bit more and through the opening he could see Erika, still asleep, under the covers. He was surprised that she had slept in as long as she did, but at the same time he couldn't blame her since the celebration was just last night.
"Man, you're looking like a fool and a creep just standing out here. She's your girlfriend, why is it so hard to approach her?" he mentally asked himself. Despite the fact he had been staying at her place the past few days, he still felt slightly awkward interacting with her on a level that was deemed more personal than before. "Just do it Hanzo. There isn't anything bad that could come out from this situation." He shook his head at the thought. Sighing, he slowly made his way into the room. He did his best efforts to keep himself light footed, but he nearly found himself tripping over himself each time. Eventually, slowly but surely, he made to the the opposite side of the bed, he seated himself on the edge and cast his gaze towards the window at the far end. "Okay, you've made it this far, now what? Just sit here until she awakens or............shit, I dunno what to do now." He could feel his face starting to turn flush with red as the thoughts played in his mind. Turning his attention back towards her, he slid himself closer to her, resting himself only mere inches away from Erika.
Unconsciously, he found himself tucking the strands that fell in front of her face back behind her ear. To his embarrassment, that was the trigger that started to rouse her from her sleep. His cheeks began to burn again as he now found himself rigid on the bed. He tried to cast his gaze away, but he couldn't find the strength to force himself.
"Shiiiiitttt..........." The word raced through his mind as Erika slowly pushed herself up to a seated position, almost becoming level with Hanzo. Rather than do anything erratic, she simply wrapped her arms around the man. A relaxed sigh exuded in return.
"I didn't think you would be up this early."
"Well.......I've just gotten used to waking up early due to my training regime."
"I should've figured."
She squeezed him tighter, earning herself a slight smile from him before he cast his gaze down to the floor.
"Something bothering you?"
"Somewhat.........this is my last day here and all........."
The moment he swung his head back he could see the pain in her eyes, but she didn't release him from her embrace. Instead, she drew herself closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I know.......it isn't easy having to say goodbye since we've spent little time together, but I promise that I'll fly back when have some time off."
"Please do..."
He found himself drawing his up and cupping it against her cheek. Locking his gaze with her, he could tell that she was on the verge of tears and how she was shaking so lightly. Without giving it a second though, he closed the gap between them: locking his lips with hers, the embrace from her pulling him close to her as much as she could. Slowly, he broke out of the lockup, still keeping his eyes locked with hers.
"Erika......I love you."
He shocked himself by echoing those words. While he may have blurted out his deepest feeling, it earned him a smile from her as he sat there near sweating under his mask.
"I suppose we should start getting ready. Your flight is in a few hours."
Hanzo silently nodded in response, slowly breaking himself free from the embrace before exiting the room, smiling to himself.

Standing in the terminal of Tokyo International, Hanzo aimlessly spun about in place, before coming face to face with the camera.
"There is always a time when a man wishes to pursue a conquest of his own. Whether it's glory, fame, love, in the end he relentlessly chases after his goal. In the end, the goal of a conquest is simple: to win something valuable. You look at all the wrestlers and they'll tell you that their conquest was to become the top guy in the company they were with at the time in order to prove a point. That point was that they are the best, and forever will be one of the greatest legends in wrestling. This is what The Dragon's Conquest is about in the Alpha Cup. To prove that a rookie like me can be the best, that I will be a legend and that the name Hanzo Kirigaya will be legendary in the history books of professional wrestling. I've surpassed the first two obstacles in my road to glory and now I go face to face with a third obstacle that will be knocked down no different than how I originally beat the first two roadblocks."
He takes a breather.
"Anastasia Hayden. Former employee of PAW, the one who pinned my mentor in your debut, and the last PAW Titans of the Midway Champion. What a road you have gone down in the past few months. I have to say, to accomplish stuff like that in a few months is impressive, but in the end now they mean nothing. This isn't PAW, this AWE: A place of beginnings. The place of The Dragon's beginning of where my conquest to become the best started with the first round of the Alpha Cup Tournament. The question is, can the person who calls herself the MVP of this place really slay The Dragon? Like, c'mon, you can't seriously call yourself the MVP of a place when your win/loss record doesn't even come close to reflecting that claim. Sure, you may be proving it now, but those people you faced before hand were probably more like sparring partners than anything."
He shrugs at the camera.
"Ana, let me tell you something about "us" dragons. We don't break easily, and we sure as hell aren't taken down easily. Go ahead and rewatch my match against Trinity Jones and you'll know EXACTLY what I mean by me saying I'm not easy to beat. In the end, all it took was one little mistake in order finish off that match, and who knows, it could happen against you as well. Has anyone ever told you to not go chasing the dragon? Chasing after me while I'm hurt, isn't exactly the smartest idea given how crafty a dragon can be. Especially if one's frustration is controlling their mind, then you might as well say good night if you attempt to defeat The Dragon so easily."
"On another note, I've heard that you've been accused of killing Thirteen? How does that make you feel? Knowing that you could be a murderer going into this match? Hell, why has the company even allowed a possible murderer wrestle in the first place? That is one hell of a safety hazard y'know. Even so, it wouldn't be my first time fighting someone like that. Take for example the slashing incident I was in a few years ago. For all I know that man could've tried to kill me, but in retaliation I promptly pummeled him and the same shall happen to you Ana. You don't fuck with The Dragon like that, and you sure as hell don't attack someone like that. Spew all the venom you want at me Hayden, because in the end, it doesn't even matter what words are exchanged. What matters is that I promptly kick the living tar out of you so that I can punch my ticket for the semi-finals in the Alpha Cup. In the end, The Dragon's Conquest shall continue after mangling your body, and bringing your conquest to its end. See you in Ohio....."
