**The segment starts off with a sudden sense of nostalgia, an old Billie Holiday tune playing through an old time radio. You can tell by the quality. The room is dimly lit and also has that old feel. Pictures and old mementos hang from the walls as the camera pans around slowly. Resting on the silhouette of a man sitting in a antique chair directly in the center of the room. As the sounds of Billie Holiday fade out, the man sitting in the chair begins to speak.**
“Throughout my career, I have seen failure…”
“I have fell flat on my face, went for broke and lost. I have dug down deep even when my pride was broken just to get back up and get knocked right back down” (The silhouette sitting in the chair lifts his arm, flicking a zippo open. Igniting the flame, he lights the cigar in his mouth giving it a slow quarter turns to burn it evenly. Closing the zippo, the cherry turns bright red as he takes a slow draw while the camera catches a glimpse of his eyes off the illumination from the cherry to the cigar. With that, the silhouette pulls the cigar from his mouth.) ”I have been beaten, scarred, and lost all hope. I have failed before, and it has turned me into the man that I am today.”
”My failure has also caused me to rise up and find success…”
”I have been at the top of a company, holding the most prestigious prize they had to offer while everybody else was gunning for me. I have pushed my pride and my body past its breaking point in matches and still came out on top.” (The unknown silhouette takes another slow pull from the cigar, causing the smoke trail to lift in front of his face and linger in the air. Giving off a relaxing sigh, a small chuckle is heard through his exhale.) ”Shit, I've sold out arenas just because my name was presented as a highlighted match!”
”There is one thing that I've learned, and I don’t mean to sound clique… but the top is so much better than the bottom. The highs are so much more exciting than the lows. Most of all, being a winner and having people remember your name is far more rewarding than just being another wrestler lacing up their boots to perform.”
”I’m not here to be an asshole, but I will be arrogant. I know what I’m capable of and what I plan to accomplish. If you fault me for that and call me an asshole... so be it!”
”We probably won’t ‘shoot the shit’, I probably won’t be the man to congratulate you and drink a beer with you after a win. Hell, I might not even acknowledge your name if you’re not in my bracket.”
”I’m not here to be liked or hated. I’m here to do what I do best. Snatch championships, win matches, and sell merchandise."
"Long live the king…" (Now a silhouette of a woman creeps into focus behind the chair and places her hand amongst the man’s shoulder. The camera then fades into night vision while zooming in on the man’s face who is sitting on the chair as he takes another pull from the cigar before speaking again.)
”For those of you that know me… I’m back!”
“... For those of you who don’t, The Undisputed King Of Kings has arrived!!”
-----
“Undisputed King Of Kings was bestowed on me for a reason. I didn’t make the name up, trust me. It was given to me during the days I dominated NLWF and it stuck with me. Now I’m in the Alpha Wrestling Empire and I have no set desire on falling off or becoming just another statistic to the typical ring rust.”
“So I’m making my debut in a dark match against Tommy Stone, who seems to have a bit of moral support behind him. It’s cool, I don’t fear competition. In fact, I love that shit. I also love when I’m made to look like the underdog although I have been in a number of promotions and found success in them all. Turn the page... that’s another story for another time…”
“What we’re gonna’ talk about is the now!”
“Truthfully, I’m glad you’re favored to win. That only makes me work harder to give the people that put their asses in those seats what they need. By the end of Executive Action, these AWE fans are gonna’ love what I bring to the ring.”
“As for how you’re going to feel after this match?”
“Salty?”
“When I pick up this win, I’m gonna’ be the reason you bow your head in shame and walk to the back feeling like you’ve unaccomplished. I’m going to be your motivation to try harder and your reason to push yourself to want to be better. I’m going to be that fire that burns in you to wonder what in the fuck you did wrong…”
“The answer to your question is so simple, and it’s almost a clique at this point. You fell victim to the wrong person, wrong place, wrong time scenario. Don’t feel bad, it’s common... it happens to the best of us!"
“It will go to show you that even if you feel like you were born into this sport and that you thought you were something special, sadly… you weren’t. You'll find out there's always someone who is bigger than you. Most of all, there is always somebody more dedicated than you are!”
“I’m not such a sarcastic asshole about everything. In fact, I'll leave you with a few do’s and don’t that might just help you get through this match…
“Do play in traffic….”
“Don’t underestimate me…”
“Do realize what you truly got yourself into at Executive Action…”
“Don’t reproduce, trust me this world doesn’t need another you!”
“...Trust me, it’s just better off that way.”
