Last time on the Puppet Pals Play Pen: Austin avoided the question of ‘The toughest opponent in the match’. Having berated Bindy and Dare, Austin decided to attack his brother. And now, the thrilling conclusion!
Wolfe: “Welcome back to the Puppet Pals Play Pen!”
A big smile is stretched across Wolfe’s face. In the other chair, Austin slowly sips from his flask while now sporting a black eye. The Franchinger finally perks up as if waking from a long sleep.
Franchinger: “Now Austin, who do you think the toughest opponent in this match is?”
Austin: “Probably Fantana. Having never faced the other two, I can go into the match with full confidence I will beat them. Zack is another story. I’ve been in the ring with him twice now and lost both times. But there’s something different this time. Zack lost. He finally lost a match. There’s no way he’s in the same mindset as the unbeatable Zack Fantana. Throw in the unpredictableness of ladders and the top competitors in the division, and we may beat him.”
Wolfe: “Wolfe was actually going to bring the Fantuppet today but he seems to have misplaced it.”
Austin: “It’s funny you should say that. I found it.”
Franchinger: “Brother! Nooo!”
Austin: “Yes, all of my opponents in this match are tough. That much, I have to give them credit for. I’m a rookie fighting for a title and to claim power over the company. This is even my first ladder match. But in the business world, you don’t get far by being exactly like everyone else. And I am nothing like the three of them. I’m more cold than Bindy. It’s not about having fun and being friendly, it’s about the prize. I’m used to defeat, unlike Zack. While he’s worried about possibly losing another match, I will be guaranteeing he does. And I am nothing like that piece of shit Dare. I’m not out there to make a fool of myself to try to win back the ones I’ve hurt in the process. I’m not try to protect friendships, my title or win back the ones I love. I have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.”
Wolfe: “Wolfe can’t believe he would do that to the Fantuppet. He was so young. So innocent.”
Austin: “Now, enough about my opponents. Francis Cuppola. We need to get on the same page you absent minded fuck. When I walk out of that match with the title over my shoulder, this company will be mine. AWE will be mine. All of the people who work for it will be mine. To reference the Lion King and that horrendous meme, ‘All that the light touches, will be mine’. I want you to write those words down, Francis. Study them. Understand them. Make them be the first words in the past 90 years of your life to make sense to you. And then when you are cleaning toilets, mopping floors or doing whatever other tasks maids do, remember this; you chose me. This happened because of one decision that you made. And if, by some miracle or some holy intervention, I lose the match, you can have Fernando as your personal assistant.”
Spinning the camera around on himself, Fernando waves and blows Francis a kiss. He pulls his Bindy doll out of his pocket and holds it tight to his chest.
Fernando: “Blowjob for me?”
Austin: “I’m not going to miss that clown. Losing him is almost worth throwing the match. Almost. Sadly, I’ll be keeping the mutt, the title, and the company. What ever will I do.”
Taking another sip from his flask, Austin leans back in the chair. Glancing forward he realizes that his brother is no longer there. Looking to the side he sees that Wolfe has joined Fernando making faces into the camera. At some point, Wolfe even managed to make another Fantuppet, although much smaller. A Finger Fantuppet. Cute. Austin can’t take the stupidity happening off stage. Downing the rest of his flask, he storms off the set.
Wolfe: “Now Wolfe can do the real interview! Fernando, who do you think will win the ladder match?”
Fernando: “Fernando likes how you talk. Fernando try it. Fernando thinks big surprise happen. Fernando thinks Bindy and Dare too busy making kissy kissy to focus on match. Zekky will be too busy pouting about his loss and Austin will be busy yelling at Fernando.”
Wolfe freezes. He wasn’t actually sure why Fernando started referencing himself the way he was. But what he did know was that win or lose the match, big changes were happening for Austin. Realizing Fernando had started kissing the Bindy doll, Wolfe grabs it and throws it away.
Wolfe: “Wolfe can see why no one likes you.”
Fade to black.
