"They say silence is the best weapon you can have as it will show the world how strong you are on the inside. Thats what I have been doing for the past few days. I have remained silent since the announcement of the first Resilience Rumble. I have listened to all of the competitors speak and almost all of them have seemed to forgotten about me. Well except Zombie of course, she did acknowledge me but it would seem she is fixated on the past."
The video slowly gains its focus as Trinity Jones is standing in front of Independence Hall in downtown Philadelphia. She is wearing a purple t-shirt with skinny jeans tucked inside thigh high boots. Her hair is tossed up into a tight ponytail as her best friend Felicity is holding the video camera.
"Independence Hall. Wow, it looks so incredible and amazing how much care they put into it. This is where Thomas Jefferson penned the declaration of Independence from Great Britian. So much history has been made in this city and come Massacre this Sunday, more history will be made. Nine individuals will compete in the main event in the very first resilience rumble match. What makes this match even more special is the inclusion of our current champion Zach Fontana. Now I don't have anything negative to say about the man as I don't know him on a personal level. From a professional standpoint, I respect the fact that he is the first resilience champion. That alone is an impressive feat in itself but how long can he maintain it. That is the question we as competitors are asking. How long before any one of us will grab the title from his clutches?"
Trinity takes a moment to pause as she moves away from the gate leading into Independence Hall and continues down the sidewalk. The autumn breeze felt nice on her soft skin as a smile forms on her face.
"You are probably wondering why I am smiling."
She mentions while looking over her shoulder at Felicity.
"Not at all Trini, I know you have some thoughts forming inside that brain of yours."
Felicity responds as Trinity nods her head while turning back to face the direction she was walking.
"Indeed I do Fe. I know everyone is going to be gunning for the champion because he has the prize but are they forgetting the goal. The goal is to become the new champion and be the first person to win the rumble. That is what this match is about right. Proving that you are the best of the best. You have so many talented wrestlers in this match who probably deserve one on one chances but the brass decided everyone deserves a chance after last week. The first episode of Massacre was off the charts. I can only imagine how we as a company can raise the bar any higher. No matter what, my opponents will not forget me. I am like the snake in the tall grass blades. I strike when you least expect it. Come Sunday, I will strike twice as hard and three times as fast. I just hope they are ready for what awaits them this Sunday."
Felicity nods her head while swinging the camera around to face her.
"They better be prepared."
Trinity chuckles as she and Felicity continue walking down the sidewalk as the scene fades to black.
