The holidays have arrived at the Jones Family House in Atlanta, Georgia. Small white flecks lined the ground as multiple colored lights were hanging around the roof. Christmas was Trinity favorite holiday as it was the only time she got to spend time with her older brother Michael. Michael Jones, aka The Bone Shrapnel in the professional wrestling world, wrestled mainly in Mexico with occasional trips to the U.S. for certain tournaments and a few guest spots for Georgia Wrestling Entertainment. This year was different as Michael was just coming off a seven month long losing streak which started at In Your House back in June. Michael had tasted defeat but continued to push his limits beyond his comfort zone. Trinity was hoping to get some advice from him as she has yet to find the right combination to edge herself into the winner's column.
As the kitchen was full with people, Trinity and her brother stepped outside onto the front porch with both holding a cup full of eggnog.
"How is everything going at A.W.E?" asked Michael as Trinity lets out a strong sigh.
"The competition is fierce. I have yet to find the right winning combination," answered Trinity.
"Trini, if winning is the only thing you are trying to find then you will continue to lose. During my losing streak, I kept entering each match with the mindset that I was better than everyone but I got my ass handed to me on multiple occasions," replies Michael as Trinity looks at him.
"I'm just tired of being a door mat to those just coming into the company. This Dare guy thinks he is greatest thing since the snowplow," responds Trinity as she sighs again.
Michael reaches his hand out and places it on the middle of her back. "First off, his name is Dare which says he is just a random guy who thinks being part of a wrestling family makes him worth something but he probably has no talent beyond his mouth," says Michael as Trnity nods her head in agreeance.
"You are probably right Mike. I did research on him and apparently his only strength is cockiness. I wish people will learn the difference between cockiness and confidence. When you are cocky, then you enter the world with an inflated ego that is larger than most balloons. Once it's popped, the ego is gone and there is nothing there but a wanna be trying to be a somebody. Confidence is what I have each and every week I step through those ropes. I am confident that my performance will leave the captivating audience with something to remember for years to come. I am confident that my abilities will lead me to a victory. I don't need some endorsement from a fraudulent claim that I'm great. That is the difference between Dare and myself. Dare wants everyone to bow at his feet but he doesn't deserve it," says Trinity while gripping the wooden railing on the porch.
Michael smiles at what his sister is showing as Felicity Oswald steps out of the house. "Trini, you really need to stop obsessing with winning. It will lead to more heartache. Let that crowd surfing punk say what he thinks make him a star because we all know his ego is what carries him through. It doesn't take talent to talk a good game. It takes confidence to will yourself to perform better than you did previously. Each time you were in a triple threat match, you were never pinned or made to submit. Therefore, you haven't really lost much," points out Felicity as she sips on her eggnog.
"That's another valid argument Fe. Besides my one on one loss to Dragon, I haven't been made to submit or pinned in my last two triple threat matches. I have always found myself on the outside but this time I'm not going to let that happen. Despite what you may think about me, I do have talent which has carried me thus far in my career. I haven't slowed down because of losing. It's like I said a few months ago, success doesn't happen overnight. So don't be surprised that I slam the door hard on both Colgate and Dare. I dare you to brush your teeth boys because I'm going to knock them out. I'm going to wrap you up like a human pretzel and send your asses to the nearest circus. I'm done being the door mat. If you want to win then earn it," says Trinity as she leans away from the railing.
A slight smile comes across Felicity's lips as the scene slowly begins to fade.
