The day after her first big match with AWE, Candy is seen packing up her things when there is a knock on her hotel room door.
“Come in…”
As the door starts to open, her bestie pops his head in.
“Hope I’m not interrupting anything?”
“If you were, I wouldn’t have invited you in.”, she teases with a giggle as he comes the rest of way room, “So what’s up?”
Candy questions as he closes the door after himself.
“Mandi and I are getting ready to head on out of here. Just thought I’d check on you before we left. Make sure everything is alright.”
“As you can see, I’m doing just fine. Just getting ready to go back to Vegas myself.”
“Are you sure?”, Chris questions a bit skeptically as he studies her.
“That I’m going back to Vegas?! Yes.”
“Noooo silly, that you’re doing okay?”
Candy finishes folding up the shirt she had in her hand and places it in her suitcase before walking around to take a seat at the foot of the bed. She looks at Chris momentarily as she lets out a sigh.
“Well, it is what it is. It’s not like I can change it. But I can’t say I fancy losing after you all came out to see me.”
“Losses happen, Candice. We all know that.”, Chris reassures her as he adds, “You really did great out there.”
Candy cracks a bit of a smile.
“Thanks.”
“Besides, you will just get them next time. Right?”
“That’s the plan.”
Candy confirms as she nods her head.
“I’ve been in this down this road before. I’m not about to let the loss get to me. I’m just going to take a few days off, regroup, and go into my next match even more prepared.”
“Makes sense to me.”
“The AWE still needs to be on the look-out for me because I’m going to make an impact sooner rather than later!”
Upon those words, Candy stands up from the bed.
“But first, it’s time to get back to Vegas...so I don’t miss my party with my Ashies!”
“Yeah, that would be quite a shame.”
His tone was teasing.
“Oh shush.”, Candy replies as she comes closer to punch him in the shoulder, “I mean, thanks for coming by.”
The two of them embrace momentarily before pulling back from one another as Chris makes his way back toward the door.
“I’ve got to get back to Mandi. We’ll do this again sometime.”
“Looking forward to it.”
Once Chris leaves the room, Candy returns to packing with a smile on her face.

“I still can’t believe the way things turned out!”
Candy was heard saying as the scene comes to life showing footage of the final moments of her match with Brandon Collins and Bindy Trent as it runs in a loop. As the camera pans out, Candy is seen watching the screen.
“At least I was right about one thing, my shoulders weren’t the ones that stayed on the mat!”
Candy continues to watch herself break up the pinfall.
“If I’d just been a half second quicker, things might have gone a little differently. Ya never know, right? But it looks like AWE is giving me another crack at this whole triple threat thing!”, she nods without taking her eyes off the television, “And this time, I’m going to make sure I get it right.”
Candy pauses as she gathers up her thoughts.
“Yes, I know the competition seems to be a whole lot harder this time. But considering what went down on the last Massacre, they might be so wrapped up in each other that they might forget about lil’ old me. Then again, it could be just the opposite. They could see me as the weakest link and come after me for that reason alone in hopes of getting the win. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”
Candy sighs shaking her head.
“Truthfully though, I see Sinister Minister trying something like that. He was the one who got pinned in his Fatal 4 Way match and he can’t be too happy about that. So I know he’ll be out to get a win any way he can. Even if that means getting the ‘easy win’ over me. At least that’s the way he’ll see it. But I got news for him, I’m not about to down easy. Or at all for that matter.”
Candy pauses briefly.
“As for Drew, I know he’ll give me the benefit of the doubt. He’s not one to overlook any competition. But if anything, he’ll be pedaling my inexperience and how I’m not ready for someone like him. I guess that’s to be expected coming from him. He does have plenty of years over me as a veteran in this business. But that doesn’t mean I am just going to let him have this win. Instead, I am going to come out fighting for everything I’m worth. While making sure to do whatever I can to stand my ground and come out ahead in this contest.”
Her tone was serious as her eyes remain on the television before her.
“You can doubt what I’m telling you if you want to. But this time around, I won’t be breaking up the pinfall on Massacre...I’ll be making it!”
Upon those words, Candy uses the remote to turn off the television and turns to look in the camera for the first time. Her eyes intense.
“See you both there.”
And with that, Candy stands from her seat and walks out of view to end the scene.
