We are brought into some old and dusty warehouse converted into a gym. Sure, it's not one of those state of the art gyms, it's missing all the fancy machines, there is no loud hip-hop music and no, there are no hot girls in yoga pants you can creep on... Only a basic wrestling ring, with time-worn ropes and a stained canvas that clearly saw better days. In the middle of the ring, under flickering dim neon lights that seem to be on the verge of fizzling out at any moment is Dominic Lawson. He is wearing an old grey shirt that was all the rage two or three decades ago.
"At least those idiots calling the shots did one right thing and gave me the match I wanted. Well, sort of.
But I guess it was too hard for them to give me what I wanted... Hunter Storms, and no rules to care about when I'll be too busy fucking his face. What I got instead a three way thing, and not the kind I like, since it involves Benny Stevens.
But I guess I can only make the best of the hand I'm dealt with, right?
So don't sweat it Stormy, I still plan to make sure you spend all the money Benson gave you in plastic surgery to put back together what's left of your face after Sunday night."
Dominic walks to the ropes, leaning against them.
"Think what you want about me Hunter, I don't care. I am an awful human being, embittered and miserable. And unfortunately for you, I hold grudge. A lot.
But at least I admit it, I don't pretend I am a nice and respectable guy in a pathetic attempt to score with that blonde chick. Unlike you, I never hid my true colors.
Do us all a favor and stop trying to go down as the victim here, because clearly you're not. Not until I lay my hands on you at least.
You started this thing Hunter, you signed your own sentence the moment you took those money from Radford's manager. Even though you don't look like the sharpest tool in the shed, you should have known that every action has a consequence, you should have known that I'm not one who forgives nor forgets. That sooner or later, the guy you fucked would come to fuck you back. ESPECIALLY if that's guy is someone like me. I hope you will agree with me that it's just better to rip the Band-Aid off, so we can both move on to better and most important things. Which for me would be taking the Resilience Championship from Fantana or whoever is champion after Executive Action and for you... Well sell yourself for a couple of grands I guess, ignoring the fact that this makes you the biggest whore in this company.
Aren't you ashamed of yourself Hunter? Don't you realize you are a true disgrace to the AWE? I mean, we have had our fair share of bitches, some are still here, some other packed their shit and left... But you, man... You are something else."
There's something sinister in the way he chuckles, foreshadowing all the pain he's planning to inflict to Hunter Storms to fulfill his revenge.
"Let me recap what happened because I'm struggling to believe it. You decide point-blank to screw me over, you deceive yourself that you can get away with murder, that, for some inexplicable reason, I would let this one slid, out of my good heart... And now, if that wasn't already absurd enough, you try to twist it and pain yourself as the victim here, as if I was some psycho stalker who's been haunting your ass for months... Please, all I did was to suggest the management to book this match, which, in some way, they obliged. Two weeks later, I was already moving on, earning my spot as the number one contender for the Resilience Championship, confident that, sooner or later, I would have had my chance to set the score with you.
So do us all a favour, and drop this charade. Nobody is buying it, not even Benny. And I'm pretty sure, not even you are believing your own words. No... I get it. This is you refusing to admit that you fucked up big time. This is you, trying to switch the blame on me, so that you don't have to deal with the fact that what you're going to get, is what you asked for. That what's going to happen to you is what you asked for, what you deserve. You're stuck in the corner Hunter. Your back is against the wall and i'm quickly approaching.
The day of reckoning is coming Hunter, you can no longer run, you can no longer hide. You will learn what happens when you fuck with the Law."
A phone rings. Dom reaches inside his pocket and answer the call.
"Yeah, I'm already here man. You remember the place right? The old gym..."
Silence, as the other person talks.
"What the hell are you talking about? Why should I give..."
Once again he stops to listen to his interlocutor. He shakes his head, not pleased with what he's hearing.
"Right, whatever... Do what you gotta do, I'll be waiting here."
He closes the call, putting the phone back in his pocket.
"Fuck me..."
The camera fades to black.
