Things you liked:
- Brad Strokes constantly changing allegiances, alliances, fandoms, and crushes. He's a man of opportunity and I'm always amused to see what bandwagon he'll be on at the beginning of the show, and then if that changes by the first or second match!
- Kassandrah introducing herself actually has me excited to see what she'll be able to bring forward storyline wise for AWE. I think there's so much possibility, it's great. As well this is the part of the show where Francis starts calling Dare "Ferris Bueller" for the rest of the episode which was great.
- Tornado's whole introduction of his character at the ticket booth, to coming out to answer the match against Jack "The Bear" Hugg was a really well done way to introduce the character. My hat's off to him.
- As I was reading through the match it dawned on me how grateful I am AWE doesn't bother with entrances, to be honest. Now one really cares about the 600 words of someone's character posing, dancing, or juggling on the way to the ring show in and show out. Cutting them out and jumping right into the match is a great time saver.
- And seeing as I did not come here from PAW I was not familiar with the Akragth character (other than seeing the twitter account once or twice) so the revelation of him as the masked man was a genuine surprise to me!
- Thanks to Shawn and John for agreeing to and contributing to my Bindy segment.
- I would also like to thank Hubert for asking me to take part in the Hubert Heven commercial, which I think was just one of the most fun things to read this week.
- Benny Stevens pushed me to RP this week and I want to thank him for that.
- When Francis first said he was going to retire, I will admit I did feel sad! I love that character! I'm glad he's just switching over to all-seasons though, I was worried for a moment.
- I spent all my paycheck on a premium subscription to Banana Swipe
Can I put the Pro Grap 3000 on layaway?
Bryan Williams emerging is enough to make me happy, and derives a real wrestling type buzz for the fed
I have to respectfully agree to disagree on this. I've never felt that AWE didn't have a "real wrestling" buzz or feel to the show. Just because it's not as grim-dark as other feds, where everyone has multiple personality disorder or is always getting divorced, re-married, and instantly four months pregnant doesn't mean it doesn't feel like "real wrestling." Plenty of small indie feds have a completely comical atmosphere, which is FAR more enjoyable to me than something taking itself too seriously. I feel like everyone in here puts in a great effort to make the show, with their segments, and their characters feel as "real" as possible within their own bounds.
- Adrian had a point, kind of, that the show ending normally felt different. I'm not going to say bad because I don't think it was bad, it was just different from what usually happens. It was like I had a cake and I was expecting Francis to jump out of it, but he didn't. I mean, I still had cake, so why complain?
- Kass admitting she was just signing blank pieces of paper makes me think someone needs to take the gifs from the "Trump Draws" twitter account and paste her head on them for some laughs though. Just not me, I'm not good at all that photoshop voodoos!
