Engines rev and rumble as two lines of motorcycles come down a country road in a procession. The bikes are adorned with flash like bigger handlebars and seats or large flags dancing behind them. The riders hide their faces with surgical masks and goggles under their helmets. A few let their colorful hair dangle in the wind like the flags. At the front of the group is a motorcycle with a sidecar with unmasked riders. The driver is Kimitsu Zombie and Aokigahara Zombie is her passenger. They yell and howl at the setting sun as they ride by and the sounds of the bikes gets louder until they are deafening.
Then we cut to a large parking lot later in the evening. Kimitsu and Aokigahara Zombie stand more or less in their ring entrance attires with the rest of the bikers standing or sitting on their bikes behind them in a semi circle. The only light comes from a few of the motorcycles and two flares on the ground in front of them. Aokigahara holds a large sashimono flag with their team name on it in Japanese. Kimitsu Zombie steps forward.
“Those who do not know us may have heard of our name. We are the Zombies, Kimitsu here and Aokigahara behind me. This is yet another new beginning in my young wrestling career. We are here on a mission given to us from the top. In Alpha Wrestling Empire we’re to keep The Darkness in check by being role models and preach the values of good sportsmanship and justice.”
She turns around with a smirk to look at Aokigahara Zombie
“We’re not gonna fucking do it that way.”
They both laugh as Aokigahara takes out a cigarette. Kimitsu picks up a flare and lights it for him.
“It all boils down to gaining influence for our cause. That cause to us is living freely and rejecting any negative influences in the world. The way I choose to do that here is not going to be any different than in all the other places I started out at. I’m going let out a fuse that leads right to the heart of this organization and I’m going to light it up. The tongues of the flames licking at all the other competitors afterwards will whisper my name as they burn. That’s how it was after BFW, in the PITT, and EOW. I sure do hope that this places survives it… but I don’t really give a fuck.
“I used to, though. Right before BFW closed its doors I had a series with a veteran named Loh. It all ended when I injured him in the ring. I was racked with guilt. Then, with the help of Uncle Aoki and some other friends I was able to see it as a gift. I have a fire in me and I shouldn’t hide it. So after I was accepted to join the clan properly I went about paving my own path. I went to PITT and stuck my rail spike into their champion’s skull. Then in EOW I had a little fun with an airheaded embarrassment to the business. It is all just about business after all. So in order to get all eyes on me and in order to increase the positive Zombie influence in this world I will just go bigger here.”
She crouches down in a gangster squat and motions with the flare.
“So we come as Ketsuekigata Z to focus on the tag team division. Until another unit’s eggs drop I also have a stake in the Resilience Championship. Uncle Aoki here might be causing some havoc in the Paramount division. We are coming for it all. So I’m personally putting you all on notice. Whether you are a veteran, a playboy, a fuckboi, a joker or a diva, I will be taking some scalps with me this go around.
“First I’ll focus on the Has-been and the Never-was. Trinity Jones and Dominic Lawson. My master, Tokyo Zombie, keeps warning me to be careful about the way I'm doing things. He only approves if I promise him that I am prepared for any consequence that might happen. I always am. So I can say, with confidence, that you two are some damn fine examples of what not to look forward to for a young wrestler like myself. First we have a legacy with an inferiority complex. Her record is impressive but I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard of you from anywhere. I guess I need to pay more attention to the hayseed territories. You must be a big star down thar, ya reckon? A tad bigger than our opponent in the match, ‘The Law’ Lawson. Real creative there, friend. How many made for TV documentary shows have you been a part of? You know the ones where they show a star wrestler at the top of his game and on top of the world? They have all the money, the fame, and the talent. Then they show someone like you on the flip side. Someone who still holds on to the dream of making it big even though every human interaction they have ends with a hint of pit and a healthy dose of self loathing?”
“Damn, girl.”
“I’m not naive anymore, Uncle Aoki. I know what it takes to make it now. I’m not going to try and douse the flame inside of me with tears or scuff it out by holding my breath. I’m going to scream and roar. The world is going to hear me and I’ll make this rage my own Light. Just like Master has his own. Just like you do. I’m going to suffer the consequences of living without fear or doubt than stagnate from hiding who I really am. This is how I’ll get remembered.”
She throws the flare in front of her and the light gets brighter and brighter until the scene fades to white.
