“Everything has gotten me here.
Hard work, determination, being the most cutthroat wrestler this company has in that ring while simultaneously being the nicest outside of it. Everything has built me up, driven me to this point where now? Now I stand before you all the Paramount Champion. I've done what I said I was going to do from the start and make sure that this company's roster just cannot and will not keep up. I beat Dom DiBona, do you people understand what that means? It means everything I've been through, everything I've said, everything I've worked towards. It has all been vindicated, this championship represents everything I have ever wanted.. and now? Now it belongs to me.
Everything I ever is now in my possession.”
He held up the championship, letting it all soak into him more and more. This was it, this was where he belonged and he was not letting go. He had earned this spot through continuous hard work, continuous perseverance. Here he was now, on top of the world and nobody was taking him off his high horse.

“But since I've become champion, I haven't had the chance to really celebrate. I haven't had the opportunity to enjoy it, to feel proud of what I've accomplished beyond the outward appearance. I've been bombarded with questions, I've been beaten down and battered with the same questions I kept hearing before I had even made this championship acquisition.”
Something weighed on his mind. Something kept sitting with him in spite of the fact he'd won the championship. It was something that kept coming up to the point he just wished to address it.

“Before I acquired this championship, there was one real blemish on my record. There is one thing on my record that keeps coming up no matter what I do, no matter what happens. In the end – it always comes back to when I lost to Caroline Burchill. Since then, I've won the Paramount Championship through defeating Dom DiBona, I've defeated her in a multi-man match, I've done everything I can do. I've cut through competition left and right but after it's all said and done and the dust has settled? Barely any time has passed and I'm booked immediately, no time to celebrate, no big show, nothing. All because the one loss on my record is you, Caroline Burchill. The one situation I hadn't been able to overcome is you, Caroline.
There's an asterisk beside of that for multiple reasons, though, one of which is you had to use some sort of powder in an attempt to blind me to win, to begin with. You thought I'd never come back from that, did ya?! You thought you had taken ole Aaron down but as it turned out, what didn't kill me made me stronger as you soon found out, because I beat you and an assortment of other talent to earn my way into that championship match. Look at me now, Caroline, look at what you did.
You were the catalyst that set off a very particular change of events. You took out my eyesight and I was gone for two weeks, during those two weeks, something happened. Something changed me, some will say for the better, some will say for the worse but either way, I underwent a metamorphosis. I came back enlightened, I came back more powerful than I once was. I truly became the Alpha Male of this particular wrestling empire and since then, Caroline? Your stock has gone down, hasn't it? It keeps going down, further and further. Lower and lower.
When I got here, you had all this shine to you, you had all this sheen and luster. But I buried you in a grave made up of my pure fucking talent. They put you and I in the same ring and now? Every time it's like the walls are closing in on you, you can't breathe, you can't move because being in the ring with me is just too much for you, Caroline. You had to cheat the first time around to get around, the second time, you failed, and now? I'm sure you think the third time will be the charm.
But no matter how many times you open your mouth to sing, the song remains the same. Aaron Pace always wins!”
He belted out that last bit, the 'Aaron Pace always wins' as if he were singing. His pipes actually weren't quite bad, which could have been a given, given he had such a deep sort of speaking voice. The kind that really called attention to him when he talked and right now? All eyes were on him.

“No matter what you do, no matter what you can say, you can sit in the corner with your hands over your ears, rocking back and forth screaming 'it's not true' but that doesn't change reality and guess what? The reality of the situation is that I'm the big swinging dick of this company and I'm helicoptering it around. I'm creating a goddamn wind storm and I'm going to blow all of my competition clean into the stratosphere. We begin in my championship reign right back where honestly, my ascension started, it all starts with you, Caroline.
You can try to throw things in my eyes but guess what? I've built up an immunity. While being nice, I've been pepper sprayed, I've been hair sprayed, I've even had some chef throw some kind of seasoning in my face while I was attempting to perform a good deed. I've had it all happen to me and I've come out on top and survived. What do you think you can do Caroline? What have you saved that you didn't use before, to beat me? Because last I checked, you threw everything and the kitchen sink at me the first time – and that's not a sexist joke. But in the end – you still had to resort to cheating. The second time, you let someone else get the loss while you tucked your tail and ran.
This time, you try to tuck that tail and run? I'll take you by the tail, I'll drag you back down the ramp and into that ring... and then? Well, my granpappy said never to hit a lady, but I think he and I would both agree that honey, you ain't much of a lady, to begin with.
I've made this big thing about being nice, well, when we're in that ring, Caroline? I'm not going to be nice, 'cause lady? I'm going to smack you like you're a fifties housewife who's talking out of line.
Too far? Maybe. But definitely honest, as it is what is going to happen and when it's all said when it's all done? We're going to see the same sight we keep seeing, Aaron Pace, your Paramount Champion – the Pinnacle of the Paramount division with his hand raised in victory. If I were you, Caroline? I'd suggest that perhaps your best course of action from this point forward is simply to tread carefully. That's not advice, that's not me being chivalrous, this is a warning.
Take it or leave it.”
He proceeded to casually slide the championship around his waist, patting the belt proudly before offering a quick wink towards the camera. Then he turned and began to stroll onward toward the destination he had been upon in the very first place. Slowly coming to a close with that final threat towards Caroline Burchill, as he'd said, she'd need to tread carefully.
Sometime later, Aaron was walking around like he'd just been elected president or something. He was strolling around between various individuals who happened to be in the building, shaking hands and putting on some kind of a big show. It seemed he was putting on his best politician act, though people didn't seem to be buying it.

“Come on, boss man, we got places to go, people to see. You're champ now, Goose has so many people here, bigwigs all over the world waiting to shake your hand and give you a bucket of money..”
Aaron stopped to think about things as he walked with Abcde. Buckets of money? Tempting, but he still wasn't certain.

“... How much can you fit in a bucket?”
He wanted a numerical figure put on that, dollar signs in his eyes to speak as he thought about the cash flow.

“Hiya champ! That belt looks good on you. See, niceness pays off, huh?”
Was it niceness that had won him the championship? Aaron removed his sunglasses as he contemplated that. Was kindness to his fellow man really what achieved him the victory here, or was it a more primal rage he had deep inside of him?
. a a r o n [ PACE ]
“Oh, hey... I mean... can you really call what I did niceness? I went at DiBona hard and got this. I'm not sure he felt it was very nice.”
He had a point, what good did he do Dom DiBona? He was sure DiBona was down in the dumps after losing the championship and he really couldn't blame him a bit for it, he thought to himself as he slid his sunglasses into his breast pocket.
. [ BANG ] | BANG | BINDY
“I coached you through this, don't doubt me now, Pace. You are nice. You did your job, you didn't go overboard, and now you're the nicest player in the game.”
The nicest player in the game? He couldn't really coin that one, Bindy was a lot nicer than he was. But maybe he was starting towards something, maybe he would someday soon achieve that goal of bettering himself for the greater good and all.
. a a r o n [ PACE ]
“I guess.”
. [ BANG ] | BANG | BINDY
“Just send some of your scratch my way from the title win, which you dedicated to me anyway.”
She had to tease him over that. Aaron let out a sigh when he heard her words, realizing he had indeed said that. He had meant it but, he didn't really want to be poked fun at about it, but that was indeed what was happening.
. a a r o n [ PACE ]
“Oh, you heard that, huh?”
. [ BANG ] | BANG | BINDY
“Yep. So nice of you.”
Aaron could be heard uttering 'ugh' as Bindy was all smiles, chasing after him to tease him some more about that one. He would never live that one down, he thought to himself as Bindy and Abcde followed closely, both having a little laugh at his expense.[/ul]
