Isn't it funny how fate works, Aaron?
Isn't it just amazing to think about how our paths have crossed quite a few times already? From the Alpha Cup to the fatal four way and now here we are, going up against each other for the third time. Interestingly enough though, the roles between you and I haven't changed. Not one bit.
When we met in the Alpha Cup last year, you were the guy that had a lot of hype behind you while I was seeking to add some merit to my name. I walked out that night as the victor and knocked you out of the tournament, and it felt damn good to me as I was able to derail the Pace Express… at least for that time being. While I gave you your first and currently only loss in singles competition, you weren't deterred. You weren't shaken up in the slightest bit nor did your momentum halt afterwards. You came back and won that fatal four way, and now you're the champion. You are officially the Alpha Male of this promotion and yet again, I find myself in the very same position that I was in before with you.
Caroline O’Hara Burchill, having to prove herself once more by beating Aaron Pace. Again, funny how fate works, huh?
Perhaps Fate wants you to beat me this time, just so that you can say that you were able to get back at me. I know that you’re going to rub that championship in my face just so that you can laugh and say how I am nothing compared to you. You were able to get to the top of the division before me, and despite the fact that I am currently a champion in my own right with another promotion, I still have a lot to do here in AWE. Just because I've finally won a championship after three years doesn't change the fact that when it comes to this promotion, my status won't ever change unless I am able to beat the best. I have to back up my words, and there's no better opportunity to do so than now when I get the chance to beat the champion himself.
Of course, that championship won't be on the line, but as a champion with a challenger mentality, I'm going to treat this match as if it's my one and only shot at the gold. Besides, if you manage to beat me, Aaron, then that's only going to further hold me back and I think that you know more than anyone else that I simply cannot allow for that to happen. I've wanted to face the best and beat them just so that I can makw everyone realize that I am the most dangerous wrestler in AWE. I am a threat that should not be ignored, and I'm getting the chance to show that this Sunday at Massacre. Failing to beat you will only serve to be detrimental for me. You? You'll feel like you'll have one less person to worry about, but I don't want you to get comfortable, Aaron. After all, you did that once before. You gambled with the stakes, and it costed you dearly. I'd like to think that you are better than that. I want to believe that you won't make the same grave mistake twice.
However, if you manage to beat me? I won't go away. No, Aaron. You won't be able to get rid of me like that. One loss to you isn't going to stop me from coming after you. Besides, that would only mean that when it comes to you and I, we would be tied one apiece. In this sport, getting even just won't be enough. I'm sure that we will meet again. I am very certain of it. Our paths will cross and one of these days, you and I will have to fight again to see who is truly the better competitor.
That's just how fate works, Aaron, and fate will show to you that you can never escape from the hands of the Killer Queen. Sooner or later, you will fall from grace and I will be the one responsible for your grandiose downfall.
I am your Fate, Aaron. Isn't that funny?
