These are never easy messages, but effective as of now the AWE, Alpha Wrestling Empire, is a closed e-federation. I’ve spent a lot of time on this federation in the close to six months its been running, too much time. This is a game we escape to, from whatever we can’t control, and I’ve become aware just how much I’ve been escaping, rather than living my life.
It’s the common e-fedders complaint. As my mother asked me yesterday to help her de-clutter a room so we can prepare her house for sale, I glared at her. She was cutting into my e-fed time. Results don’t write themselves. Again, yesterday a friend asked me out for drinks, and I declined. I had results to write. Compressed into a day, this is clearly symptomatic of the fact that I’ve put more time into my virtual existence than my real one, and running an e-fed does not help.
To those who have contributed to this e-federation in anyway since it’s been open whether for a long time, or a good time, by writing matches, role-plays, segments or showing off your wonderful graphical work thank you! You have contributed to likely one of the best e-fed experiences I’ve ever had, more likely the best if I’m honest. I thank you for choosing to spend some of your time here, and I hope you enjoyed it! There’s so many talented writers that have existed in this little AWE universe, I have felt privileged to read all of your work, laugh at your witticisms, and felt sorry for the people who have to face you. I won’t name you all, instead just read the archives, or look at the roster, past and present, to those who have come and gone. I am honored to have worked with each of you, and some of you I have had the pleasure of forging friendships with, and I am grateful.
Thank you, fans and contributors!
This game is a wormhole that sucks us in, and spits us out, we come and go and some of us stay and some of us don’t. It’s hard to drain it from the system for long, so who knows if I’ll be apart of anything again, or just watch from time to time. If you know how to find me, I’ll be there. If not, take care of yourselves!
Love,
Hannah!
